Sheila Halligan-Waltz

Picture
Sheila Halligan-Waltz studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and privately for decades, but it was her feelings as artist-citizen that compelled her to paint hundreds of works about the personalities and abuses of the Bush White House. These works were brought to the public in biannual OUTRAGE, OUTRAGE/OUTREACH and OUT exhibitions in Bay Area galleries.

Beyond the Bush era, her works tackle issues including the prejudice connected with Aids, breast cancer, mental illness, corporate greed and gay rights.  Embracing life, she simultaneously paints erotic subject matter (Sex & City), as an antidote to the inhumanity.
